Prime Time for families to read at Omaha Public Library

Families who enjoy reading together are invited to Charles B. Washington Branch, South Omaha Library and Willa Cather Branch this fall. PRIME TIME FAMILY READING TIME® is a six-week shared reading experience where families discover great stories together. Each week, a storyteller will read aloud and discuss books. 

Nutritious meals will be served at each session. With prior notice, free transportation to and from the Library will be available for those who need it. There is no charge for any of the PRIME TIME activities. Families with children ages 6-10 are encouraged to register by calling or visiting their preferred branch. Activities will be provided for younger siblings.
  • Willa Cather Branch, 1905 S. 44th St., 402.444.4851, Tuesdays, Oct. 1-Nov. 5, 6 p.m. This program is designed for Native American families.
  • South Omaha Library, 2808 Q St., 402.444.4850, Saturdays, Oct.  5-Nov. 16 (except Nov. 9), 12:30 p.m. Stories will be offered in Spanish and English.
  • Charles B. Washington Branch, 2868 Ames Ave., 402.444.4849, Saturdays, Oct. 19-Nov. 23, 9 a.m.
PRIME TIME is sponsored by Humanities Nebraska with funding from the State of Nebraska through the Nebraska Cultural Endowment. Funders include Lincoln Financial Foundation and Carol Gendler. Humanities Nebraska is a private, statewide, non-profit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
